Participants Guidelines

  • Architects and Interior Designers should have a registered practice in Karnataka, and projects should be completed in the five-year period between 2020 and 2024.
  • For the ‘Beyond Architecture’ category, the practice/fabrication/manufacturing facilities should be primarily located in Karnataka.
  • IIA-KC registration should be valid for all participating architects [and should be in good standing with the COA] from the time of entry submission up to the time of the award ceremony.
  • IIA-KC Office Bearers, Committee members, and the Award Convenor are not eligible to participate in this edition of the Awards.

Evaluation and Jury

  • All entries will be first vetted for completeness and appropriateness for the award category. The organizers may contact the participants for necessary information if their entries are incomplete.
  • The Jury process will have two stages:
    • Stage 1: A distinguished Panel of Jurors will assess all the entries and shortlist the projects.
    • Stage 2: The shortlisted projects will be presented to distinguished invitees at Lati2ude who will join the Jury and select the winners in each category.
  • Decisions, deliberations, opinions, and proceedings of the Jury shall not be made public or otherwise revealed.
  • Awards committee decisions, Awards modality and process, and Jury decisions shall be final and binding on all participants without appeal and cannot be challenged.

General Guidelines

  • Presentation of an Award to any entry in no way legalises its status.
  • If a project (i.e., an Award-winning project) is involved in any dispute or is in violation of any statutory laws/regulations at a subsequent time, the said award has no legal standing or validity in such dispute/violation.
  • The management of these Awards is entirely based on the bona fide declaration by the participant.
  • If prior to the actual presentation of the award, any violation comes to the notice of IIA-KC along with documentary evidence or incorrect information, the organizers reserve the right to withdraw or cancel the entry, in consultation with the Jury.
  • Categories with insufficient entries are liable to be cancelled.
  • Posthumous Award: In case of the death of an individual (whose project is selected for the award) prior to the actual presentation of the award, the Organizers may present the award posthumously.

PRESENTATION OF THE AWARDS

  • Based on entries received, the Jury, at its discretion, can choose to confer the Awards or to not give an award at all in each category.
  • The shortlisted participants may be contacted to provide further details about their projects (actual project videos, additional information, etc.) and will be intimated with sufficient time before the awards ceremony.
  • If the winner of an Award cannot be present at the awards ceremony, a nominee can receive the award on his or her behalf with prior notification.
