INSTRUCTIONS FOR AWARD SUBMISSIONS:
The submission process is entirely ONLINE, through the dedicated website https://iiakarnatakaevents.xyz. You must login to your portal using the Username generated. The Username is only for accessing the portal. For submission of entries, you have to use the unique Entry Code generated for that award.
Each entry is unique, and you should use your unique Entry Code for all submissions/modifications related to that particular entry only.
In the submittal [drawings, reports, documents], participants MUST NOT mention/indicate any identifying information such as name or firm name, logo, IIA membership number, or any other identifying mark. Do not include any hyperlinks. Having ANY identifiers will lead to the cancellation of your entry. Only the Unique Entry Code must be used at the lower right-hand corner of the sheet.
The participants are requested to upload their work in the following format:
- A maximum of 3 sheets in ‘Landscape’ orientation. Pixel size = 16000 px by 9000 px
- Full bleed compositions are allowed.
- File type is JPG only.
- Image bit depth max 24-bit Color.
- Ensure that any individual sheet is not more than 33 MB. The combined size of the three files should not exceed 100 MB.
- The presentation can be in Monochrome or Color or both.
- Within these 3 sheets, you should include all drawings, sketches, renderings, photographs, and text descriptions.
- Ensure that all text is sharp and legible.
Example:
Composition from Autocad. Create your composition in 16000 units x 9000 units. Plot to 'PublishToWebJPG' output with a sheet size set to 16000 pixels x 9000 pixels.
Various software come with various canvas size limitations. If you find such limitations, XnView is a free tool that allows you to create a 16000 x 9000 pixel canvas onto which you can drop in other images and save the overall composition to a JPEG file. If you find the file size is greater than 33MB, you can tweak the compression to reduce the file size below 33MB.
Why the large canvas?
The reason is your entries will be judged (and later displayed during LATITUDE 2025) on large 4k touchscreen monitors. High-resolution files will allow for zooming in and panning your composition where required, so viewers can see your overall composition as well as get into the details. It's like viewing an A0 PDF output of your drawing printed at 300 dpi.
